Stayed at Hotel Plantage in October with a group staying in 4 rooms. The rooms vary greatly in size and layout - my room didn't have a wardrobe others had a lobby as well as main room and bathroom. This is a very basic hotel - the bedlinen, showers and towels were clean but don't look took closely at the carpets and curtains. If you can arrive during the day - the evening reception service was very unhelpful and inflexible - you also have to pay upfront which doesn't inspire confidence.
On the plus side it is a quieter part of town but with good tram routes into the centre. Downstairs Cafe Koosje was a nice place for breakfast and good for an evening drink.
But in a smaller group you could probably find a better place.
