we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam and would recommend the flynt bed and breakfast to anyone. We arrived early and was allowed to come and leave our luggage and have a shower even though the rooms hadnt been cleaned. Location is great with a supermarket underneath though not needed as the fridge mand cupboard was staocked all the time with food and drinks that yo could help yourself to all day. we were lent 2 bikes for 2 days with all the directions and help we needed. the onlt thing we were disappointed about was the weather but that was hardly the ownersa fault

I am so glad we stayed at B&B Flynt when we first arrived in Amsterdam. I loved our trendy, clean little room, and loved having our own clean bathroom. (Be sure to bring your own toiletries as all you get is bad shampoo and a sample of stinky body wash.) The "breakfast" is awesome -- Ieke keeps the fridge and cabinets stocked and you can help yourself whenever you want to eggs, breads, spreads, fruits, and juices. If you wanted you could buy stuff from the grocery just downstairs and make your own food. She was such a helpful, kind and caring hostess. The price was terrific for the place -- 80 Euros for a double, and close to van Gogh and Rijksmuseum and parks and trams/buses. Only drawback was that our room was next to the kitchen, so we heard other people messing around either early in the morning or late at night. And though it was nonsmoking, I think that people would smoke downstairs and the smell of smoke would drift into the room from the hall. Unlike other places with no AC, if you mention that your room is too hot, Ieke will lend you a fan or portable AC to cool it down.

we booked this place mainly because the weekend we were in Amsterdam there was some event and couldnt get a room in hotel (at any reasonable price). This place is excellent and we enjoyed our two night stay, The owner was very welcoming and provided us with brochures and tips to where to go around the city. The room itself was very clean and cosy. The breakfast facilities was also very good. They basically provided all the food and you had to cook yourself. The B&B is located in a residential area, however not too far from the centre of city .. most of the major attractions are short walk or tram ride away.. One complain is about the noise.. one night we were there was a party next door and because its a residential area there is no sound proofing in the walls.. other than that we had a very pleasant stay.

Please note that we DID NOT stay right at the B&B but in a separate apartment owned by the same woman.

Our stay was fabulous. Pros include: excellent location, full kitchen with dishes/dishwasher, two double beds (one pullout), TV w/ dvd, massage chair, tons of information in the apartment about Amsterdam sites, bike tours etc.

Cons? Really steep and long staircase and no wireless internet.

I would recommend this apartment to anyone.
