For older people; there is no elevator and stairs are very deep.

I had a most pleasant stay in hotel crystal at november 2011. Single room was worth its price (45e/night) room was big and room icluded tv with very sharp screen and bed was adequate, toilet and shower are shared but very clean. Breakfast is included with room price and it is very good breakfast there were 2 kind of breads and toaster for them, also cheese cold meats cereals and boiled eggs were offered and coffee machine had many kind of coffees. Location is great not a far away from tourist attractions such as Leidseplein Vondelpark and Rijksmuseum, centraal station is 20minutes walk away from hotel. I would stay again on hotel crystal and i recommend this hotel for anyone. If your looking for relaxing quiet and comfortable place to stay for a while in amsterdam alone or with friends, then this is definitely the best budget opinion i found it worth every cent.

The hotel is decent considering that in Amsterdam in general the prices for lodging are very high.

Quite a small room. We were living 4 of us in 1 rooms and didn't expect it to be so small

We (4 females) stayed in a quadruple room for about 135 euros each from 26/8/11-29/8/11. The room was clean and tidy, and had a decent sized bathroom and a big window. There was A LOT of steep thin steps, so I wouldn't recommend the quadruple room (top floor) unless you're steady on your feet! The hotel is a 5 minute walk away from Leidseplein, which is my favourite area of Amsterdam, and close to the trams, so great location. Breakfast was good, cheese, boiled eggs, meats, cereal, coffee machine, tea's etc and plenty of it. Room was cleaned daily.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
