We stayed in this hotel for a few nights and it was a great hotel with polite staff, clean rooms,private bathrooms, location is perfect for tourists,lots of supermarkets, shops and only 5 mins from amsterdam station. I recommend this hotel for anyone who is visiting amsterdam, but always put in mind that amsterdam is a small and old city so expect all hotel rooms to be abit small around amsterdam with small stairs so dont be surprised.

DON'T listen to the bad reviews!! i read them before i left and was scared but me and my friend stayed hear for 3 nights and can safely say there is nothing we can complain about. apart from no lift, but i am a girl and i don't travel light and there is a lot of stairs to the 4th floor, but nothing was too much trouble for the cleaners in the mornings saw bathrooms and toilets get cleaned every day, staff was lovely to us. tiny room but you get what you pay for also BIG thumbs up as you can also smoke in the rooms :)

After a few terrible experiences at youth hostels, I've decided that low-cost hotels are the way to go. So, if you want a cheap hotel, there's no better low-cost hotel in Amsterdam than the Quentin Arrive. When I arrived I was immediately impressed with the lobby. It's spacious, luminous, and cosy. One could even consider it a café since they do serve coffee and cupcakes. I've been to Amsterdam many times and have no trouble finding things to do, but after discussing with the receptionist who is also a city tour guide, I discovered even more fun and typical things to do. On top of all that, it's only a few blocks away from Central Station so that made it very convenient to get to the station in a hurry to catch my train. I'll definitely stay there the next time I return to Amsterdam.

We have been to Amsterdam sooo many times everytime we chose to stay at different areas.

This is a friendly hotel..after the smoking laws to outlaw tobacco.. we were still permitted to smoke out of the window...NOT many hotles are relaxed enough to be able to do this.
We found NO problems with this hotel, staff were friendly,
This is an EXCELLENT HOTEL just a few steps from Popeye's cafe so no chance anyone in our party got lost hehe...
Harlem straat is a great area for markets/shopping/bars/
would recommend this hotel to anyone...
Just be careful as the stairs in Most hotels are very very steep.
