We stayed in this hostel for one night while visiting a nephew in Amsterdam. As this is a hostel, the facilities are basic but they are very well kept. Bed rooms are tidy and clean as are the toilets and showers. Also the common room is cosy and well kept. Breakfast is not included but can be bought at a reasonable price. As usual with hostels, a deposit is asked for key and locker. Sheets are included (which is nice).

The hostel is central located which makes it very easy to get to. You also get a code so that you can enter late. Normally I am not too fund of hostels, but this one was quite ok and I could imagine have stayed here for an extra night.

Not much water coming out the showers and hairs from the showeree before but otherwise, pretty clean, no bugs, nice staff and great location. Funny little detail, being that the house is pretty narrow, the first set of stairs is rather cozy. And steep. Metal stairs from hell. But we had fun trying to climb them after an afternoon through the nicest coffee shops. ;-)

I went to Amsterdam for a few days with a few of my friends. This hostel was a great choice. It was cheap, in a fantastic location, basically walking distance to everything and nearby tram stop, and the staff was friendly. The rooms are very basic, have beds, a wall light, and wooden lockers. The room, showers and bathrooms were clean. Like all the other reviews state, the bathroom is very small, but who goes to Amsterdam to sit in a bathroom. One downside was the walls are very thin, so if your neighbors are noisy it can be annoying. The stairs leading up to the reception area are hilariously steep, but not all that bad. About a 3-5 min walk to Leidseplein. Overall, its perfect for college students or young people not looking to spend an exorbitant amount of money on a hotel.

The room was really basic, 4 walls, 4 beds and a neon light, and the window wouldn't close properly, so that cold air came in.

They only put the heating on during the night, so during day time it's quite chilly.

The bathroom was so small, that when you sat on the toilet seat, you hit the door with your knees.

And worst of all, we had a mouse in the room! We left some food on the floor and while we were sleeping, we heard some noise, like somebody was playing with a plastic bag. When we woke up, we saw the bread had a hole in it and no one said they did the noise, so it was certainly a mouse, since there was also a hole in the wall.

Don't ever go there!!!
