There was not alot of things that were good or even ok about this place. The rooms were run down, the breakfast was poor - I got a mouldy peice of bread. The service was average and the location was not great, it takes atleast 15 minutes via tram to get into the centre of Amsterdam and at the price we paid it just didn't make the grade.

Shabby and torn curtains, broken furniture and mirror, broken shower and toilet. A real disgrace. Even if these had been fixed, the hotel is simply not a 3 star. You could buy drinks at the bar, but had to take them to your room to consume them. The room was on the ground floor, overlooking a busy junction and an even busier reception (the receptionist seemed to enjoy chatting all night long). Shabby, shabby, shabby. You've been warned.

me and 2 friends were meant to be staying for a 4 night break and we were informed it was near the center and a 3* there is NO WAY it is a 3*, we were given a room which was right next to the reception it was tiny, filthy, i would go as far to say i wouldn't even wash a dog in the bath, there was a hole in the wall and the triple room was 3 single beds which were so close together you would have to side step between them and there was a tiny single wandrobe in the corner and nowhere else to put anything, we went to reception to complain and the lady was very short and rude giving us a key to the room next door which i would say was even worse than previous room, bed was broken, lights hanging off wall. In the end we checked straight back out and paid to stay somewhere else and are now fighting to get our money back.... When you look at the hotel from the outside it looks like the 1st floor upwards is either bedsits or hostel as there is sheets up at the windows and people stuff on the balcony like wind chimes etc, plus there are 2 doors at the front of the hotel one which goes into reception and one which we didnt enter but presume it goes to the accomodation upstairs. The dining room was filthy and flies everywhere, all i suggest is DO NOT BOOK TO STAY HERE.

i agree with the comments of 29/9/11, we were there a few days later. sat - tue the hotel is quite nosiy next to a busy junction with thin walls and windows, plus woken 3am every night by other guests. sunday breakfast bread roll was mouldy! woman in charge never seemed happy. THE ROOM;- double bed was 2 singles with a very soft double mattress on top, bedding was 2 single duvets and sheets!1 small in wall cupboard, 2 small drawers, a desk and 2 chairs didn't leave much room to move. the room wasn't cleaned on the sunday just re made the bed. full clean on monday. overall we would say the hotel was somewhere to sleep not much else, the rooms look exactly the same as the 2007 photos!
