Great location just one block from Leidseplein (behind Marriott Hotel). 10-15€ taxi from Central Station, depending on whether driver uses the meter or makes of a fare. Also Trams 1, 2, and 5 run to/from the station for about 3€ and there is usually space to hold luggage at your feet.
Friendly staff offered tourist maps and directions. Unlike the Park Place Hotel, they do not sell tram tickets, but most tams have a person selling various tickets.
One Internet PC for guests, worked Ok. Didn't try printi g. Didn't try breakfast on ground floor, near lounge/bar/reading area. Didn't try apparent bar, too may to choose from at LeidsePlein, and they are now Non-smoking (except for coffee shops i believe).
Small room (<3x4 meters) with single (smaller than twin) bed with comfortable single pillow and warm blanket. Radiator heator worked well, as did Flatscreen TV over bathroom door, few dozen channels, i cluding National Geographic, CNN qnd BBC, no movies, few radio statons with DJs. Small readng desk near window with view of quiet neighborhood (no vehicle traffic, no tram rumble). Lots of early morning noise from room doors slamming and housekeeping, since rooms are all very close to each other. Carpet minimized noise from overhead furniture movements.
Small bath with 1x1.25 meter shower. Excellent hot and cold water, only liquid shower gel and no soap dishes or shelves. Electrical outlet under hqirdryer with EU and Northamerican plugs, probably 220/110.
Overall, great location with lots of local restaurants and bars and easy access to museum district. Quiet street even after New Years street fireworks! Very friendly people. ATM at nearby Marriott (careful not to get 100€ notes that no one wants to accept)
No fridge or iron but has hairf
Dryer.
Maybe top floor room away from stairs/lift/other dors would be quieter in the morning.
