Went to Amsterdam for the 5th time, stayed at this hotel before a few years ago. I remember the location was good - but this place was so shocking. The room we had didn't have a working shower. Most people in this hotel were too stoned to complain. We had a room which was damp and damaged, TV didn't work, 2 plugs didn't work - the shower was broken. We went out dei king to a few bars and clubs and met some girls - they wouldn't let my friend and I bring them to the room! They asked for 25 euros per guest even though they weren't sleeping. The guy then asked if we could get him a girl, we told him they were not prostitutes!! The next day we left I asked for a refund for the next 3 nights as the room was shocking - he refused to give over any money. I said I would call the police and as I did, he agreed to give me back 2 days - we went for a walk about 15 minutes found a hotel which was accommodating let us bring guests and treated us with respect. I find Dutch people to be so pleasent and during my visits I make many friends but this place is just embarrassing! Most hotels are only a short walk from red light don't fall victim of this joke of a place!

unfortunately we booked our accommodation 1 week before going to amseterdam and accommodation gets pretty hard to find and this hotel managed to have 1 bedroom with 3 single beds. So when i booked the accommodation it was 210 EU a night so then it was 420 EU for the 2 nights. In general you can get this cheaper if you book in advance.

THe hotel itself is pretty close of the amsterdam terminal which you can take from amsterdam airport and was about 20 mins. From the Amsterdam train terminal to the hotel, its about a 10-15 min walk which is alright.

When you get to the hotel, theres a small desk as the reception and because we came early, our room wasn't available but was free to leave our luggage next to the wall and could see other people also left their luggages as well too. I paid for the accommodation as the online booking doesn't charge your credit card but only assume they would if you didn't check into the hotel. Because I was using a CC, they had to charge extra which was really annoying.

We went out and came back to our room. We originally had 3 single beds but they asked if they could take the other bed and we said that was fine. They had put the 2 single beds put together and i don't think the room could of had a 3rd bed but anyway.

The room itself was ok, a kettle wasn't included, and in the shower, there was a tube for the soap so don't expect them to provide any shower amenities. The beds were ok and we were next to the river side so could hear the resturants and so forth but wasn't an issue during our stay.

For the breakfast, basically theres downstairs room which is where the reception is and there is a big table. The food supplied was just bread, boiled eggs, some meat slices to put on your bread with butter, nutella & strawberry jams.

The location of the hotel is really good as it is in the central district and down the road from the infamous red light district. Across the bridge from the hotel, you can walk up and it would be chinatown.

Overall the hotel was ok but for the price and if you book alot earlier, I would have gone to another hotel for a better room & better breakfast.

Went here back in April 2011. The location was great in the centre of all the action. The room were adequate with shower and toilet. The room and bathroom is cleaned and made everyday with fresh owls. The room was cosy and we over looked the canel. As you are near the pubs it can get loud but hey this is Amsterdam so didn't bother us too much. Staff were ok gave us some maps etc which was good.
This isnt a hotel but for the price you cannot moan. I will be returning again

This hotel offers one of the best value in Ajax. Its right in heart of the city, near the central train and metro station (which is a major plus point for me considering i just stayed for one nite, coming by train from Holland port and taking the Euro bus the following day). I find the hotel one of the cheapest in town. Breakfast is average and included in part of the package. They allow us to put our bags after checking out which is a good thing considering the need to check out b4 12pm but our next eurobus is only scheduled late in the evening.

The receptionist at the hotel is friendly and helpful. The hotel is safe as the door leading to the hotel lobby is locked at all times. You need to press the bell b4 you are allow to come in. I believe this precaution is needed as there is one coffee shop nearby which sell 'drugs'.

Do not expect any luxury and you may have to carry your luggage when u check in the hotel and also to your rooms as there are stairs leading to the receptionist area and there are no lifts inside the hotel.

Overall, im satisfied with my stay in this hotel and will not hesitate to stay in the hotel again if i ever return to Amsterdam.
