Love this hostel! It provided me the everything I was looking for when I booked Amsterdam. Culture - you're close to everything and in the heart of the red light and coffeeshop districts. History - on the oldest street in Amsterdam. Tours - free 3hr walking tour which is done by a freelancer and in my experience, was amazing!
The rooms are cozy and large enough with lockers (and when there wasn't enough for me, Klim offered to keep my things either behind the counter or they could give me money each day for a locker in the public area - so helpful!)
The staff were friendly and gave good advise!
Super close to the train station too!
Only thing I would improve is perhaps hooks for clothes and towels in the bathrooms/shower rooms, and by the beds. Also, reading lamps would be useful by the beds so we don't disturb others when we want to pole around our stuff. And possibly more electrical plugs for the dorms - with 8 people trying to charge phones and computers, it can get a little crazy trying to get access to the 1 outlet, Hope this helps!
Room Tip: Just be aware that the hostel runs down an alley - I sleep like the dead, so it didn't bother me...
