For one night this hotel was ok but the rooms are pokey to say the least. Lumpy pillows. Noise from other rooms and windows. Ok location.

My 8 year old son and I really enjoyed our stay here. We could walk all over Amsterdam from this spot: festive Leidse Square (Leidseplein), the Vondelpark, Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Bloemenmarkt (flower market), Rembrandt's House, Anne Frank House, lots of cafes and restaurants, and there's a Hop on Hop Off Canal Cruise stop right over the bridge from the hotel. The staff was friendly, there was use of the internet in the small lobby, good coffee, and the tiniest elevator I've ever ridden in. My son thought it was so fun. The hotel has wonderful curb appeal, too. However, beware that there are steep steps up to the lobby, so beware if you have problems with steps. I loved that it felt like a European hotel, not an American one. I can stay in one of those anytime. Amsterdam is one of the quaintest cities in the world. Go if you can!

the hotel itself is nice with a nice breaky, but the rooms are terribly small and the bed is more like a sofa than an actual bed.
the staff were pleasant and the location is good.

Room very small, but adequate for needs. Clean and tidy apart from stain on carpet. Breakfast very good. Noise from road during the night, but to be expected as on a main road. Staff helpful.
