It's a simple and small hotel just for one purpose - sleep, although breakfasts are very tasty there also. Other than that - it's very very tiny, rooms are so tiny, that you can't properly open the door to the bathroom. Maybe not the cleenest hotel I've seen, but you can deal with it. Rooms have safe for documents if any.
Good location - around 20-25 minute walk from the center, nice and comfy beds, but a little too noisy in the morning from the outside.

This hotel ruined our stay in Amsterdam. We had a quad room. From the first minute we entered there was a terrible smell coming from the bathroom, which they refused to address. They said they could not change our room because the hotel was booked, so we had to use a nasty public restroom in the hallway. There is no way this is a 3 star hotel. I've traveled and stayed in hostels in Europe, and hotels in west africa-and this was by far the worst. The staff were very rude, the manager yelled at me when I asked for new towels because the ones in our bathroom smelled like sewage. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place! I wish we had.

First the "LIKE":
Location was ok, you can easily get to the center or museum area.
Breakfast was good and fresh.
The bed was comfy (but too small!!)
Hot water and good heating.

"NOT LIKE":
Hotel staff was actually rude, not a nice a welcome at reception at all and one of the cleaning ladies (the same one you find at breakfast is real rude!)
The rooms are real noisy, you can hear everything that is happening in the hotel. You must be really tired to be able to sleep.
Cleaning is bad, stained towels, stained carpet.
The bed was comfy but too small.
Curtains where smaller then the windows, so lights would come in in the mornings.
The shower curtain falls as soon as you touch it.

First impressions are dirty bathroom which has visible mould and a mouldy smell and no visible means for moisture to exit. Bed too soft but sheets and towels clean. No small fridge or small area to say make toast or have a very light meal. Quiet at night which is good after a day spent walking around the city. Lighting very low but this seems to be usual in European cities to save energy I guess, but one strong light would have been helpful. Internet access has to be paid for (whereas many hotels now provide it for free). Breakfast quite good, buffet style for 10 euros per person. Location is also good.
