Single room booked in advance. Easily the cleanest, tidiest and most contemporaneous I have stayed in for a short break - definite value for money for central Amsterdam. Standard continental breakfast buffet, but kept topped up. Friendly staff.

Very centrally located specially if you are comming from the train station like me(came from Paris). Price was very reasonable fir breakfast is included w/c was great and very filling lots of variety. Rooms was small and unfortunate for me mine was on the first floor and by the passway so it was quite noisy. Overall it was great for a night or two!

It's unfortunate the hotel is not so well maintained. Perhaps the assumption is that the great location surpasses cleanliness and poor maintenance. Pity!

A regular traveller to Amsterdam over the years our (me + another 5) first choice of Hotel has always been The Avenue.

Superbly situated within strolling distance from Central Station and easily accessed via the excellent tram service it's affordable and clean.

It's a shame to write a negative about this place as I love it there, but that's it you see. It's always my first port of call, has been twice a year for 7 years but do they now me? Do they welcome my twice yearly contact with a booking request for 2,3,4 sometimes 6 guests? No. There's no warmth about the place it's just a place to rest your head.
