Well, it's an Ibis Hotel, so the maximum you can expect is a Ibis Hotel. So, here it goes:

- The room is a little tight for 3 people, so be aware of that.
- the air conditioning system of our room was not working properly, and the room was too damn hot. I asked the front desk to fix it, but nobody did anything. Not the best attitude with customers here.
- the food in the restaurant was awful, but the waiter was very helpful.
- Good location, near Rembrandt-plein. A little weird at night, but ok.

Stayed here with my girlfriend for a night when doing a 3 night mini cruise. And for value for money this hotel is spot on. Everything is around the hotel that you need. Dam square only 10 min walk, shops just on the corner and it is a big supermarket (like a tesco). The breakfast are perfect. Warm fresh coisants and standard full English ( well there version) buffet. Rooms are very clean and shower/ steamroom where amazing after walking round dam all day. Would definatly return. Using ibis hotels again when going to Dublin

We had a really enjoyable weekend in the Stopera. Excellent service from friendly and helpful staff. Hotel room was very clean and comfortable with pod style bathroom (which we liked and didn't find too small!). No wardrobe or drawers but reasonable hanging space and storage shelves. Flat screen TV and (free) safe. Very good breakfast buffet with hot and cold dishes and plenty of choice.
Though in a relatively quiet area, the hotel is very well located for walking to the city centre and tram and metro stops nearby made for easy access to other parts. Very near to large supermarket, Rembrandt's House Museum and Gasson Diamond Factory, the nearest stop for the Hop-on Hop-off City Sightseeing tour, which is a great way to see Amsterdam, especially if on a short trip like we were (26 euros for all day ticket on bus and one hour canal cruise).
Liked best - location and staff. Liked least - only (very minor) criticism is that the TV channel choice in English is very limited, with only BBC World service and Eurosport (which didn't really matter, but I really can't think of anything else I didn't like!).

Good location. Good breakfast. Helpfull staff. Good prices. Ventilator system good.Quite place. Very small rooms.You have no space for suitcases if there is a third bed for your child. No wardrobe. No mini bar.Small bathroom.
