We have just returned from Amsterdam after spending a birthday weekend there with friends and family. It was in a superb location off the main drag but close enought to walk everywhere. The staff were funny and friendly, and made sure we were felt most welocme. We were given a map with little areas to visit and allowed us to go to a local flea market and catch some great brown cafes (eeties) not coffee shops ! along the way. The area at the back of the concert hall and to the left had lovely local bars, perfect to a nightcap on the way back. I would definately recommend this lovely hotel. Shuttle bus from Airport is red bus no197 drops you right outside, and picks you up across the road cost 4 euros Thanks guys.... x Barb Bristol

Amazingly comfortable beds, super quiet room and hotel in general, and very helpful and friendly staff. We also really liked the neighborhood - lots of restaurant choices, near the park (we went for a run each morning) and an easy walk to the canals. I will stay here again.

We stayed only one night in the Conscious Hotel at Museum Square and I would have no hesitation in returning. Upon arrival we were a little early for check in and the room was ready. There was city tax to pay that is not included in the room rate, unsure if this is per night but it was 3.70 euros per room.
The room was clean and bright, the shower room was quite large with a really powerful shower. There were shower gel type toiletries in bottles on the wall instead of mini soaps which is perfect and was actually quite nice for an eco brand. The bedroom lighting was a tad odd, there were nice soft lamp shades beside the bed but when they went on so did the over head “operation theatre” spotlights defeated the purpose of the soft shades I’d have said. The bed reading lamps were good as not too bright to light the whole room so one person can easy sleep while the other could read. The beds (it was two singles together with two single duvets) were really comfy and felt like memory foam type mattresses.

Location is at Museum square a fair walk out the mail city centre but it was fine as it’s a lovely quiet area. The hotel is right at the number 16 tram stop and across the road from the bus stop for a 4 euro return to the airport without going back into the city – ideal really!

Staff – super helpful, provided plenty of info and leaflets on arrival and where to go.

Price – fairly reasonable for the area, hotels of the same grade are much of a muchness with price in Amsterdam.

I would recommend the hotel and I would stay there again if going to Amsterdam.

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 3 nights. We had a room on the fourth floor at the back of the hotel.

We found it very quiet, generally, the breakfast was perfectly acceptable, and the staff were really super friendly and helpful. In particular, the young gentleman called Roel, assisted us with lots of advice and was a nice friendly face to pass on our way in and out. Everyone else was fabulous too. Even the housekeeping team took an interest when they found out it was my 40th birthday.

I decided to book to visit the Anne Frank House but then found I needed to print off the tickets with a barcode. I was able to email them to the hotel and they printed them off for me, quickly, with a smile, and without any request for payment.

The hotel is well placed for the 5 and 16 trams. When returning to Schiphol I would recommend the red 197 bus which stops about 60 seconds walk away from the hotel. It costs a mere 4 euro and takes you straight to the terminus in about half an hour. Just pay the driver.
