Friendly and helpful staff, and clean rooms. And the price is good.

The location is approx 10 min away by bus from the city center. No problem.

I mistakenly booked the Westcard Art Hotel,instead of Westcord Fashion Hotel.(Fashion Has a swimming pool). I knew it was going to be out of town but because of the pool,I felt it would be worth it. Art hotel didnt have an open pool. The hotel itself was lovely. Breakfast was great. The bus was very reliable and frequent, and stopped right outside the door...but for us it was just too far out of town. ( 10 mins on the bus) We did a lot of sightseeing and at times we just wanted to go back to the hotel for a break but had to give it serious thought every time. At night, we just went back to the hotel and didnt bother going out again whereas if we had been in the centre we may have wondered out around again in the night..Tha's the big negative about the hotel. The positive is that travel tickets etc are available from reception. Everyone spoke english(we dont speak Dutch!). We found it very easy to get around Amsterdam because the public transport is greatand cheap.

let me start this review by saying that i have almost 20 years experience in the service industry.
my wife and I stayed at this hotel in june of this year (2011) for 3 nights. we took the upgrade from the 3 star, which cost 20euro's a night and was well worth it in my opinion. i have to say that from the moment of booking the service was immpecable. i contacted the hotel about, among other things, the deposit and was pleasantly surprised by both the speed and the friendly professionalism of the reply(which came personally from the manager). the facilities were excellent, the room clean, comfortable and well presented. the staff i found to be friendly and helpfull. the hotel itself, while situated outside of town, is right on a bus route(and if you know about amsterdam's public transport you know that means it is easily accesible at all hours of the day or night) personally i found the location ideal as it was nice and quiet, making for well rested nights. all in all, it was great value for my money, and as i stated in my title i would definitely stay again, in fact i look forward to it. thank you to all the staff their for our wonderfull stay, with especial thanks to the general manager mr. Tam

The hotel is very well situated with great facilities like free WIFI, bicycle rentals and airport transportation. Very modern hotel with modern clean rooms. Service was very efficient. We’ll definitely be back.
