Stayed in a large 4 star room from 2nd Jan-5th. We took an early flight and followed another reviewers travel directions that were excellent (thanks)- take the train to Sloterdijk, the station is in the airport, just go to the ticket counter if you don't want to get from the machines. It's only two stops- catch the 48 bus to Hempoint, it's opposite the hotel. The whole journey only took 20mins. Our room was ready when we arrived at 10.30 so that was wonderful and appreciated.
Would suggest you get the bus/tram card from the hotel they are sold in blocks of 24 hours, we bought 96 hour cards at 19.50 euros (excellent deal) valid from when you first use them (swipe on as you get on the bus) the stop into the centre and back out again is right outside the hotel & only takes 5-7 mins to central station (bus 48 or 22). The ticket is good for the trams so you can explore all over the city. Top tip would be to pre purchace some museum tickets as you get to jump the huge queues (not at all but wish we had done for the van gogh!)
Our hotel room was perfect, superking bed with lovely comfy pillows, and the rate included breakfast -both traditional continental and hot food buffett- it was excellent. We didn't eat at night there but the menu looked reasonable and food of good quality from what we saw from the bar. Had a few drinks in the bar on our last night, the bar manager was very attentive and informative. Check out isn't till 12 & they held our luggage as we had a night flight. Overall we would really
reccommend this hotel! All staff were very polite.
