“Good hotel, Location can't be beat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

This hotel is perfectly located across from the main train station and at the gateway to shopping, restaurants, and the famed Red Light district. Everything you need is just steps away. You can even walk to the flower market and most of the museums within about 20-25 minutes if you enjoy walking, (and don't get too distracted by all the great shopping districts you pass through)--and Amsterdam is a great city for it.

As for the hotel itself, the service was pretty good--(had to call twice to fix something in the room at one point) but the people were friendly and willing to help. We were in a "suite" which was about the size of an average room in the U.S..--so it was nice, especially for most hotels in Europe. Very quiet and relaxing and in good condition, and the bed, in spite of being a smallish Queen was very comfortable.

“Our hotel of choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

We have stayed here several times as our preferred option in Amsterdam. Admittedly the price does help and you can usually find a good deal here. The rooms are clean and location is great. We have occasionally gone off piste and usually regretted it. Perhaps not the five star experience you get from other hotels but a sound option, we've never had a bad experience here.

“5star hotel but very competitive price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Stayed here for 2 nights. It is a 5 star hotel but very good price. To be honest, it feels more like a 3.5star or stretching it a 4 star hotel. Nevertheless the staff were friendy and helpful and the positives of this hotel was the relatively large rooms and location as it is right next to central station, for access to the airport for us. The location is in fact vey close to the red light district and shops in the city centre.

The hotel is recommneded as it is very good price and good location....its not perfect but at the price we paid, it certainly worth staying in...

“Good hotel at a good price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Got this hotel on Priceline for 65 Euro per night for 4 nights. Turned out to be a good deal.

This is not a five star hotel. Not in their wildest dreams, however at 65Euro per night it is well worth it.

The decor at reception and in the foyer is vastly superior to what you will see in the rooms. As usual I might add with alot of these "5 Star" joints. The rooms are clean though. For some reason they only have the most rudimentary of TV channel selection.

Bathroom flooded whenever it was used, due to a poorly sized shower door, but that didn't detract too much. Avoid room 143 if it is a bother for you.

Location is unbeatable.

Returning for a repeat stay soon.

Room Tip: Don't choose room 143 if a little flooding annoys you.
