Wife and I stayed there in January over a weekend and we could not have been happier with our choice. To begin even before booking the room I exchanged a few emails with Camillo and just through the emails it was evident how much of a great host he is. He provided me with some very useful information about parking outside the city and taking the tram into the central station which was within a few minutes from the B&B. As we arrived at the central station we quickly made our way to the hotel and were net by Camillo who immediately showed us to his office and without hesitation gave us a breakdown of the city and where all the tourist sites are and where the tourist traps are as well. In addition to that he provided us with excellent maps of the area and suggested we bought a card which gives you great discounts to museum entrances which was priceless since we didn't have any idea about it. Once we got to our room they were extremely clean and cozy, with little amenities that made you feel like you were home. The bathroom is a few steps from the room and is shared with the other room in the house. The bathroom was very clean and functional. We never had an issue with the other guests for usage of the bathroom so for us that was really a non issue. We received breakfast passes to a restaurant across the street and the food was very good and the folks at the restaurant were friendly enough and nice. The location os this B&B is fantastic. The central station is a very short walk away as is the RLD, Dam Square, and a few other good sites around the city center. From the location of the hotel you can take trams to all the other tourist locations like the rembrandt house, Van Gogh Museum, and the Heineken tour. This B&B is a wonderful little treasure in the heart of Amsterdam, and as well will be visiting again soon...we will most definitely be staying here again!

Stayed here for eight nights in late October, and could not have been happier with the accommodations. Camillo was wonderfully helpful, the room was immaculate and had every amenity possible--Amsterdam guidebooks and maps, DVDs, assortment of teas and coffee, hair dryer, plush robes, comfy bed, even fresh flowers every day and chocolates :) The location could not be more ideal-- a couple blocks to Central Station, right on a main tram line, and easy walking access to everything in the City Center-- yet it was blissfully quiet in the room. Sharing a bathroom (with a wonderful sauna/shower) was not a problem. Typical steep Dutch stairs, but not too many and you get that everywhere. I highly recommend a stay here. You won't be disappointed.

I stayed at this B&B based on the TA reviews, and I was not disappointed! Reviewers talk about the great location, and I cannot stress what a HUGE plus this is. The proximity to the train station is worth it's weight in gold. The B&B is also close to the Jordaan and other great locales. The city is very walkable, and I didn't need the trams, but the B&B is located on one of the main lines if needed. Other things: Camillo was so kind and helpful, the room was great with a comfy bed and cushy robe, the bathroom situation (sharing with the room down the hall) worked just fine... I've never shared before, but the other guests were very polite and it wasn't weird or inconvenient at all.
What WAS unusual was the laughably steep and winding staircase! Personally, I loved that because it was an authentic feature and extremely charming... you have to see it to believe it!

Booked the CityCenter Bed and Breakfast Amsterdam online and it couldn't have been easier! Were able to check in early since previous guests left early. Camillo immediately gave us an area map and outlined the different areas and sites. We ended up using that map during our whole visit even though I had brought two others! We had just come from London and Paris and this was our favorite room: comfy bed, very nice bathroom, great amenities in the bedroom. The tram was very close and the restaurant where you get your breakfast was within sight. The restaurant gives you lots of choices by the way. One day we had an English Breakfast the next day my husband had Dutch Pancakes, YUM! Camillo and Joost go way over and above to make your stay enjoyable. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary with this trip and one day after sightseeing Camillo brought us champagne and strawberries. Very special indeed. I feel like we found a very special place in Amsterdam!
