flat clean and as described, perfect location, quiet yet mins from dam square, ann frank house. Breakfast provided at extra cost if required, but kettle,dishes,etc supplied to do you own, and a fridge,Cable tv.
Lots of restaurants and pubs near by, and near tram stops.
Can't fault it at all. perfect!.

We stayed for 4 nights in november. This place is great. Simple and confortable room with free internet (and a computer for you to use!), good bathroom plus a small refrigerator and a small table and utensils (great for snacks!). Since it has an independent entrance straight to the street at ground level, you get the feeling you have your own little temporary home in amsterdam. The neighborhood is great: close to the major tourist spots and night outs like the dam or leidsplein (maybe 1 or 2 tram stops; or walkable even, as we did on one ocasion) but also very quiet and residential. Its also very close (right across the canal) to the 9streets shopping area, full of cool shops and restaurants.

Thanks to Tarif for making our stay enjoyable. This pension is easily accessible from all parts of Amsterdam. The room is compact but it is clean and very comfortable, all we needed after arriving following a boat trip along the Danube and Rhine Rivers. It is close to the city centre and we ended up walking and walking and walking around the city. Nearby are supermarkets, a decent Indonesian-style restaurant, and some great little bars where the odd beer or three could be enjoyed.

The room is located in the Jordaan area of Amsterdam which is quieter than being in the centre of town and is quite beautiful. Though you are out of the centre, the Anne Frank house is only a few minutes walk away and you can get to the museums within about 10 minutes. My boyfriend and I bought 96 hour tickets from the transport place next to the tourist information at Centraal Station and got the tram everywhere which made sightseeing much quicker and easier.

On arrival, we were welcomed by the owner of the property and were immediately made to feel at home! We had a lovely (and ample) breakfast served to us in the room on the first day which was a superb start to our trip. The room itself is small but you should think of it as a room in someones home as opposed to a hotel room which is exactly what it is. Having said that, it is more than big enough for a couple and it is beautifully decorated and wonderfully clean. You also get your own key to your own door and are left to your own devices so that you can holiday independently.
You also have full access to a computer with internet, which is free and very useful for checking up on tourist attractions or your flight times.
If you wish to save money, there is a breakfast bar with tea and coffee facilities and a fridge in the room so you can stock up on food at the local supermarket (a few mins away) and enjoy breakfast at your leisure.

I would definitely recommend this place for a couple travelling on a budget but who don't wish to share a bedroom and/or bathroom with 6 other people!!
