“Awful, absolute rip off!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2011

The first room we were offered was tiny, not enough room for one person let alone two. It was filthy with big staines on the floor and even a rogue toenail clipping was found. There was dust everywhere and the room smelt rotten. The second room we were offered was a twin room which resemled a prison cell. Finally the third room offered was again filthy, with damp and handprints all up the walls. By this time we were sick of being moved about and decided to stay in it. Although after checking the bed sheets we discovered make up, mould and pubic hairs in them and asked them to be changed. The cleaner then brought in another duvet which was covered in chewing gum and when I sent it back he got in a mood about doing it. It was such a disapointment and a complete waste of money! I wouldn't advise anyone to go there!

“Good Location basic room”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2011

I was given a 4 bed room meant for 8 people. Window was broken. Heard one couple complaining for broken bed. Location is good.

check your bank statement before coming to this hotel. I was sure of the payment through my credit card but later learn that I did not paid. Had to pay in cash. This is same for all customers. Policy is confusing.

may be ok for group of bachelors.

“Convenient, cheap, clean, tiny”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 July 2011

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel which is around 20 mins walk from the center of town. The first was in a twin room with a friend and the second in a single room. The place is run by Chinese who speak English with no real trouble. The receptionist initally tried to charge me more than we had booked the room for though, and had I not realized then I would have been ripped off.
The rooms were clean but very small, though as we were just looking for a place to sleep this wasn't a problem. Shower and toilet worked fine.
Wi-fi worked but only in the lower 2 floors - the upper rooms were too far away.
There is no curfew and a receptionist there 24hrs which is convenient. Basically it's a perfectly fine cheap place for a bed, but do watch out that your booking price matches what they try to charge.

“the best worst experience of my life”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 June 2011

the first night we arrived the double room we booked was unavailable so we had to make do with a very small single room.
the second we got a double room in a different building which was part of the same hotel and it was filthy and damp with a massive puddle in the middle of the room. There was a sanitation pipe above our bed from the upper floors and when the toilet above were flush we heard the water flowing above us in the bed. we would not rate the accomadation and they charged us for this room 139 euro. so buyer beware. the only good thing was the location

“basic but clean - does the job”

We picked this hotel as it was the cheapest one we could find with a lift. When we arrived we were a given a room in the hotel just down the road on the first floor. After explaining that one of our party could not use the stairs they swapped our room to a ground floor room without any trouble.
The staff we met were friendly and helpful. Towels were changed everyday. The room was small but it was not a problem, it was very clean and the bed was very comfy. Window latches were a bit dodgy but small windows up high so not really a security risk. Bathroom looked quiet new and the shower was very powerful and warm.
Breakfast was buffet of ham, turkey?, cheese, 2 breads, 2 biscuit things, 2 jams, choc spread, 2 fruit juices and tea or coffee. Breakfast room was very hectic and busy one one day but we went earlier the next and it was fine.
Hotel was in a good location with a tram stop a couple of minutes away and another across the road going on a different route. Small shops, bar and restaurants near by and a canal boat stop just over the road.
This hotel was basic but fine for a few days away.
