Very good hotel. Friendly staff. Had an upgrade to an XL room. Very nice room with
area to sit and relax. Mini bar and coffeemachine in the room. Windows on all sides.
Very clean. Bar downstairs which was nice. Breakfast was good and lots of choice both hot and cold. Can recommend it.

This was my first stay in this particular hotel, and was impressed by both the staff and the service.

However what was surprising was the fact that the hotel had only partial AC in certain rooms. Unfortunately three of my colleagues plus myself did not have a room on a particular hot night. If you left the windows open, the noise from the road kept you awake, if you closed the window you slowly roaster! Spoilt a good stay!

We were on a touring holiday and arrived at around 7pm without a reservation. We were warmly greeted and offered a room for a rate of 99 Euros including breakfast. Room was simple but very clean, omfortable and everything worked properly! The bar which is in the lower ground was friendly and we had a few beers at the beginning and end of the evening. Breakfast the following day was a good buffet with everything that you need. All in all a good stopping point. Taxis to the town about 8 euros but beware of coming back -if you get the taxi from the whrong place, the one way system makes for a fare of 18 Euros. My fault for not listening to advice of original taxi driver!! Alkmaar is a great little town , very old with a mirriad of small streets and canals and lots of lively of bars and restaurants.

I went to Alkmaar for a busines trip in October 2008 and I stayed this hotel nearly 20 days. The room was very fresh, clean and quite large. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The breakfeast was very good. You can go Alkmaar City Center in 20 min. by walking. If you would like to go to AZ Alkmaar's football match, the stadium is very close to the hotel.
