We planned a short trip to the Efteling Amusement Park and stayed at the Hotel de Kroon last August. It was a really relaxing trip, even with 4 children. Our journey via Eurostar was effortless and fairly quick. The Hotel was comfortable and welcoming and a VERY quick walk to the amusement park. We visited four of the local restaurants for dinner which were all reasonably pried and on the last day hired some bikes locally and rode through the nearby Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park which was the highlight of our trip. Unlike London, bikes rule the road in Holland, so the children were very safe.

“Friendly family run hotel”
Hotel De Kroon is close (5 min. walk) to the big Dutch amusement park EFTELING.
I can recommend it to families with young children staying to be close to the EFTELING park. The service is very friendly and helpful and the price is reasonable. The small restaruant and the rooms are good value for what you pay. Don't expect the Hilton, but expcect a reasonably priced place to stay with your kids.
Definitely a place I would return to.

Very friendly small hotel 5 minutes walk from Efteling Theme Park entrance. Would recommend for anyone looking for an economical alternative to the onsite Efteling Hotel
