I'm staying here now, and the room is ok, but nothing more, they have 3 smoking rooms, so don't expect to get one when you are booking one( call in advance)
Food in the restaurant is ok, but nothing more. Service is good with a friendly staff.
Breakfast is ok, Dutch quality.
It is a old hotel and it really needs an oppgrade.

I will just say good to stay here. breakfast in the morning is very good, they iused to provide the fresh juice which the best and also other fod avaiable like breads are also very good quality

Reading some of the reviews, I was curious how the hotel would be. I've slept several times in a Golden Tulip and I must say that this doesn't feel like a 4-star hotel. I've stayed at Golden Tulip hotels that were a lot better then this one. May be they should rate this hotel as a Tulip Inn.
Room was OK with big windows facing the park just in front of the hotel. I had a good and quiet night at the hotel, which was OK. Breakfast was OK, nothing special.
I would recommend this hotel to people looking for a quiet & relaxing break. Seen the location, it's interesting to rent a bike and discover the area.

Spent some short time here on business during a very cold period of weather in November 2009. The room was freezing cold and the radiator 'hidden' behind an ornamental grill. Removed the grill to find that the carpet under the radiator had evidently not been cleaned for several months. General standards of cleanliness were barely average. The room was spartan, but the bed comfortable. The bathroom, a somewhat idiosyncratic conversion, had a good shower but was poorly lit. Staff friendly enough but overall very poor value for money.
