Located within walking distance to the station and the old town, this hotel in a former cinema is an ideal place if you like a good night sleep. Its decor is very modern although for my taste they could have opted for brighter colours. ONe of the great attractions of this hotel are the many freebies. every afternoon they serve free cake and coffee between 3 and 5 and free proseco and olives between 5 and 7. in addition, you can take away sweets, apples and oranges, biscuits and even icecreams. They also offer plenty to read, in addtion to papers they have a wide range of magazines and books. Breakfast is plentiful and served in a great room. The bedrooms are of a decent size. The only downsides to this hote for me was the matttras which was a bit too soft but that is a minor quibble about an otherwise great place.

A great hotel with large rooms and bathroom. Central to all the shops and attractions. An old cinema, it has been renovated to a high standard.

We visited Maastricht to attend the Andre Rieu concert. The hotel was a perfect location for this. The downside we booked a double room and this turned out to be a small sized room with two single very soft mattress beds pushed together. We only booked for two nights thankfully and would question the five star rating . In our opinion we would put it three or four at the most in Irish standards. There is a full sized model of a horse in the lobby which I feel should be replaced with decent seats for guests to use. Breakfast was good and staff were excellent.

Stayed here for one night, and would happily have stayed longer; very helpful and friendly staff, camply chic interior, and perfect location near to the boat trips and centre. The hotel is in an old cinema, and in the bar/dining area there is a large screen which was showing Laurel and Hardy silent films the night we stayed. Room (for 3) was clean and comfortable, very nice toiletries from Rituals included; the only issue I had was a very loud domestic row going on in the street in the early hours, but you can't plan for that! There are 2 Coffee Shops in the immediate area, for some people that will be a draw, for others a draw back.. Breakfast was plentiful and varied; fresh fruit salad and a good choice of cooked and cold foods. Only negative thing was having low fat yoghurt, that stuff is just wrong! There was a locker room for baggage, a computer for guest use, lots of magazines and information available, huge amounts of free sweets for that sulky teen. We were given a voucher when we left, for discount visits in the future, and I think we will almost certainly go back, even if Maastricht is not exactly a throbbing hive of rock and roll activity. In spite of grot weather we had a fun time
