A very nice, small hotel in Maastricht that isn't hard to find after you've seen the way. I suggest a cab from the central station the first time you come in to the city, but the public transport is easy to figure out and cheap.
I had a great room, with a balcony overlooking the street.
It's out-of-the-way enough that the hotel isn't lost in the bustle of the more crowded downtown, but on a great block; with an excellent Thai take-out place, two really good bars and the Fantasia coffeeshop.
The staff are great, I liked the breakfast (and available soft-boiled egg), and owner Ilse Sistermans has made a wonderful place near the heart of Maastricht.
Very affordable, I would suggest it highly for solo or couples travelers, though it isn't good for people of limited mobility, as the building has no elevator and rather steep stairs.
