I'm a castle fan, in Holland for business 5 days a month for 20 years and it's one of the best hotels I've stayed. A mixture of ancient and modern, done with class, spotless clean, great value and a very friendly and helpful staff.
Arrived late after the restaurant was closed and the staff ordered pizza and had it delivered so I wouldn't go hungry.

I stayed here several times already and it is a really great place to stay. Nearby the city and stillin the country. Staff is perfect, meals are perfect and I can tell you I am really difficult to please.

Neat old castle with rooms in a relatively modern addition. Large, well appointed room and bath by European standards with free WiFi with good signal. Located on the outskirts of Maastricht, too far to walk to the city. Nice walking trails on the castle grounds. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was amazing. Just about anything you could want was available on a buffet. Bar was quite nice (with limited menu in the bar) and very helpful staff. As with all the places we stayed in Europe, no wash cloth in the bath and duvet on the bed. Walk from the parking lot to the rooms was through a gravel courtyard, very difficult to pull wheeled luggage across.

We stayed her in spring and the building and surrounding is really great! It was just everything that we hoped to find. The entrance, terrace, bar everything is very nice, except in your room. The rooms look like a cheap high-way hotel and it is nothing compared to the atmosphere elsewhere in the building. A long hallway with simple doors behind which you’ll find your simple room with simple bathroom.

When we asked for another room, willing to pay more, the staff told me that it was not possible. They told me that they hear that complain every weekend a few times.

Breakfast was really good and the surrounding is really nice, but that is it.
