We stayed in the hofnar for two nights and I didn't sleep one of them. The room was just too noisy and too small. The owner is very annoying, I would subcribe it as arrogant, not friendly at all. Do not expect any customer service and a great breakfast, cause you wouldn't find it here.

Not a very pleasant stay because much too expensive.
We paid 82 euro for an extremely small room with no bath nor toilet en suite.
There's no double glass so it's like sleeping on the street so clear are the noises from passers by, cyclists,cars and church bells early in the morning. The toilet was very small too but the shower was ok (I'm surprised it's not been turned into a room) The mini room was clean but we felt cheated as we stayed in the Liège Holiday in last week for only 60 euro.

My brother and I stayed at De Hofnar for two nights in August. The house and the street it's on are charming. The bedroom and the bathroom were clean and comfortable.

However, we really did not have a very enjoyable experience. The breakfast costs 5 Euro per person, and you can feed yourself better for less money in a nearby cafe. The host was also no help in getting to the B&B by public transit. Even if he doesn't use it himself, he never bothered getting directions for guests? When we finally got in late at night, the host charged us for the map of the city! We could afford the map, but it's an attitude that says "You are not guests in my house," which is unusual in a B&B owner.

If you stay at a B&B for a decent room at a decent price, De Hofnar is great. But if you also enjoy meeting local people, do not have high expectations.
