OK, so this isn't a hotel, this seem to clash with some of the other reviewers comments.
I wanted a cheapish place to stay overnight in Maastricht, something that was not a hostel and not a 4 star hotel, there is plenty of B&B in the town, but I selected De Hofnar because of how easy it is to book and see if any rooms are available.
The room was small, but I knew this already so I had no complaints there, we had shared bathroom (nice and big) and toilet (typical Dutch 'under the stairs' kind)
The place was nice and clean and the double windows in our room, facing to the street, provided sufficient noise cancellation to sleep.
The mattresses is a little soft for my liking, but I'm complicated when it comes to that.
The place offer free wireless connection for anyone who need.
The place is almost smack in the center of town (St. Servaas church is right across the street)
Since there is no-one in the 'reception' after 14:00, then you are send a door code and have to get your key yourself in a little key cupboard. This strike me a little odd, but the information was good and we had no problems at all.
For 7 Euros extra you get a full continental breakfast, not fantastic but sufficient for our taste, we walked away happy and satisfied.
The only thing I may miss a bit, is an outside area, the place have a lovely courtyard in the back. But I think that's for private use only.
