...and as such I rate it very highly. OK, you do indeed get what you pay for, but if you are just looking for a place to sleep then this is it. I have not found a cheaper place to sleep, where you get your own room, as opposed to sharing a dorm with between 8 to 16 other people. The services are basic, but adequate and the cleaning staff are present each day.

I have lost count of the times that I have stayed here, I really like it. They have often found me a room when I have turned up late in the evening. Only one time, over Easter, did I have to leave, as I hadn't reserved the room beforehand, which was entirely my fault, so they can't be blamed for that.

If there is a cheaper room anywhere in Holland I would like to know about it.

A simple breakfast for 5 euros is available too.

We were looking for a budget hotel and we did not expect much. So the small and old room was no problem for us. But it turned out that the toilets were outside the rooms and in disgusting state. That is even for a budget hotel not ok.
Furthermore we soon found out that it was almost impossible to sleep in the rooms, because the windows to the street had no sound insulation at all and the cinema in front of the pension is very noisy up to 2 am. In the morning then at 6 am the construction workers, for which this pension served obviously as a dump at that time, got up and one could again not sleep.
So we moved out after that horrible single night and cancelled the following nights. We rather payed more in another hotel and were able to sleep then,
So do yourself a favour and avoid this dump unless you don't need to sleep.

This little Pension looked quite nice on its website, and so we booked it. We paid 55 Euros per night for the room plus 5 Euros each for breakfast. The room was terrible! Reasonably clean but really shabby and worn out looking, everything in it needed dumping and replaced with new. We only had a shower, the WC was up the landing and shared with another room. The room was right above a bar which played music, so we were kept awake until after 1am.

Breakfast was bread, cheese, ham and a selection of jams etc, Fruit juice and tea or coffee. We had an egg each but it was stone cold, and when we cracked it open it was soft boiled! Yeuch! What wasn't explained to us was that breakfast was only served on Saturday and Sunday, you're supposed to get a 'lunch packet' the rest of the week. As we were staying until Monday I had booked and paid for breakfast up until that morning, however on enquiring about the 'lunch packet' the evening before I was told I hadn't paid for it! It was only after I'd checked our paperwork and gone back on Monday morning that I was refunded the 10 Euros.

The one good thing about this place was the location; just a few minutes walk from the town centre.

I certainly would not recommend this pension to anyone, we couldn't wait to leave!
