The Prince is located in the old part of Nijmegen, in a pleasant central street with several restaurants nearby. It is a cheap hotel spread out over several buildings. By day, you pick up the key at the Bagel & Beans, at night you ring the bell and you're let in by remote.
The shape and size of the rooms differ quite strongly (I've been in a number), but they're all clean, austere and adequately furnished. Bathrooms are invariably quite small. As is typical of older Dutch houses, there are also some steep stairs to be climbed, so this is not for the frail.
Breakfast is in the Bagel & Beans. It's allright, except that cafés in this chain are almost always understaffed (but this is not a review of them). It's simply a warning that check-out in the morning may not be superswift.
The double rooms are in my view somewhat overpriced, but the single rooms are reasonably good value, given the location and general price levels in the town. So I'd recommend this to the solo traveller who wants a cheapish, clean, central hotel and who is prepared to put up with some peculiarities.
