Stayed here on Saturday night before the 7 hills 15k running event the next day. Our room was comfortable with a great shower. Breakfast came with a good choice of coffee and continental selection. In particular, the hotel management were very friendly and kindly provided us with a room to shower and change in after our run on Sunday afternoon. We stayed at the Courage in Nijmegen for one night in February 108 Euro for a river-view room incl breakfast (parking garage 8Euro / day)

The hotel is located centrally next to the city’s casino on the river. In contrast to the kitsch lobby our room was decorated in classic style and colours. Newly refurbished it felt clean and pleasant. Although nothing truly special we would certainly recommend the hotel in comparison to any corporate chain hotel.

The evening’s desk clerk went out of his way to help us. He even printed out a detailed map describing the route to the restaurant we had chosen (het Savarijn – to be recommended - modern, comfortable 32,50 Euro 3 course).

Breakfast was of relatively good quality with a reasonable selection.

- paid public parking. It might be worth to inform at the hotel about the best option
- if you are driving make sure you have detailed directions the sign posts are not the clearests

Travelled by train through Holland: this hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the station and an interesting walk too - though we didn't have much luggage which made it easier. The view over the park from our room was very pleasant, and although they only serve breakfast there are many places to find dinner/drinks just along the river bank.
Lots of different levels within the building so you need to concentrate walking around!
But even after an evening spent watching boats go by sitting at outside tables right by the river we got back with no accidents!
We would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Great location down by the river with great river views. The road was a little too loud to keep our window open all night, but the A/C was really good and quiet. Bathrooms were large and clean with a large shower. We loved sitting at cafes on the river or even in our room and watching the river barges heading up and down as the sun took its time setting over the river.

The Courage is family owned and run. They were very friendly and helpful. They also rent bicycles and there is an outstanding path along a dike (to Ooy) just upriver from the big bridge. It's also an easy bike ride to the University Medical Center if that is the reason for your stay in Nijmegen. Highly recommended.
