The rooms are not meeting the standard of our times any more:
- very small rooms, hardly enough space for opening a 2nd suitcase,
- bathroom with shower in tab, no walk-in shower, water-pressure in shower too low
- mini-bar with extremely low quality drinks [ie. red wine: "wine of the European Community", no idea what kind of grape, no idea where from (only where 'bottled'), no idea which year of]
- parking: 6.50 Euro extra
- breakfast extra: 16.00 Euro (though through the years a good breakfast quality is more and more degrading)
On the positive side: very friendly personal at reception!

Dear sir or madam,
Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Mercure Nijmegen Center. We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies.
Our rooms are totally renovated in 2007. Because of the originally placed large desk, you have experienced this room as small.
The rate for breakfast is € 16,00. For this amount you may choose as much as you like from an extensive buffet with a large variety of fresh meats and cheeses, dairy products, fruits, juices, egg-dishes, different kinds of bread and rolls, cereals, etc.
As part of our Green Key eco-label, we hope to encourage our guests to travel by public transport, in order to reduce the impact on the environment. However, it is good to know that you can still park your car (at your own risk) for a relatively small amount, close to the hotel with a good surveillance system.
Using less water is also part of our commitment to the environment. The showers still give 9 liters per minute, which is not very low.
We appreciate your sharing your concerns.
Kind regards,
Ivonne van Deelen
