Nice, clean and quiet and good value for money. We rented bicycles, got a map and went for 60 kilometers trips every day in the De Hoge Veluwe’ national park.

We booked this hotel as it was close to a tournament we were watching at the Papendal, the check in was easy and the staff throughout the hotel were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We booked a "comfortable room" which was large and spacious and spotlessly clean which is very important; we also had a daily maid servive. The price included breakfast which provided a good choice of either continental style breakfast or hot meal including sausages, bacon, scrambled egg, boiled egg - many styles of bread, fruit, yoghurts, cereals and as much juice, tea and coffee as you wanted - the choice was vast and would suit everyone's taste.
During our stay we ate lunch and evening meal at the hotel, which was of an exceptionally high standard, cooked as we asked and very healthy portions. Prices were reasonable and cheaper than other hotels and eateries in the vicinity.
Very close to Arnhem town centre with a bus stop right outside the hotel, we also hired bikes for the day which enabled a bike ride to the Arnhem war museum which was a must. Definatley would stay here again

I stayed 3 nights in the VdV Arnhem hotel. This was my second stay there and I had the impression that I got a better room than the first time. The hotel is a typical VdV, you know what to expect before arriving there. The girls at the reception were friendly and nice during check-in. My room was spacious, the furniture looked like as in any other VdV hotel: bland, but functional. The bathroom was very nice, though, with a big shower. And the lightning was perfect this time, by far better than last time.
My room was heading to the back, it was thus very quiet at night and I slept very well.
The hotel offers high-speed internet access, but you have to pay for it.
I didn't take breakfast, but I had a dinner in the restaurant. The food was ok, nothing special, but not bad at all. The service was generally good, with the exception of one waitress who was rolling with her eyes every time we were asking for something. She was definitely not a good choice as part of the service staff.
A big parking is without costs.
The hotel is located outside of Arnhem city centre, but you have direct access to the highway. The Papendal Congress Centre is just a 7-minutes walk away.
Overall, the hotel is absolutely recommendable.

This is a very functional but comfortable hotel, great showers and heating and nice desk staff. We did not eat at the hotel, although the dining room looked quite nice, and my older son enjoyed an evening at the bar chatting. Overall it was a pleasant stay for visiting Arnhem, although if you don't have a car, it is a few miles from the city center, technically in Oosterbeek.
