“Good Base For Arnhem Battlefields”

Located right in the heart of the Arnhem Battlefields, where 1st Airborne Division fought in September 1944 - best known from the film 'A Bridge Too Far'.

The hotel was known as the 'White House' to the troops and was the scene of fierce fighting, and is the original building here in 1944.

I was staying here with a friend and we found it a good base for the area, warm and comfortable, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The breakfast was typical for Holland, and there was some choice in the buffet. The rooms are a little more than 'basic', but again comfortable and clean. There is a lift to all floors and parking directly on front of the hotel. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

An excellent hotel which I will be using frequently on my visits to the area.

“Better options in the area”

Unfriendly, unwelcoming owner. Seems like it is a run as a business without interest as to the guests comfort. Rooms were OK. Overpriced for the area. Not much to say because not much pleasant experienced

“Charming hotel and staff”

In a quiet neighborhood, with pretty grounds, and very friendly staff. We only had breakfast, which was very nice. The building is older, so the rooms are not huge (and a little dated), and the bathroom was comically small, but I think they might be remodeling. Stayed here so we would be close to the Hoge Veluwe National Park, and it was perfect for that.
