To be quite honest this is not the type of hotel I really like, functional but with no one redeeming feature that makes it stand out... But when travelling on a business trip during these austere times and to an expensive city to boot, you need to be concious of how you are spending the firm's hard-earned.

So on to my experience... a cheap hotel in an expensive city... expectations cannot be that great, but I was welcomed by pleasant staff, the place is certainly built down to a price, but clean and the rooms were fine, though rather compact, for a one night stop-over on a business trip. The poor choice of food in the open plan bar-resturant-reception area was really the only complaint.

Not a place to take the wife on a romantic week-end, but fine for a business trip or an up-market back-packing holiday.

Was flying from Barcelona to mumbai and I had 8hrs + + stop in Zurich..@ 8 pm
so got the info centre @APT to give me the nearest airport hotel n found the reliable IBIS ,called and booked a room ,they had a courtesy coach outside the airport ,departure @regular intervals to the hotel
arrived checked in / slept / had a great breakfast n the coach dropped me back to the airport in time for the flight back

I have been a lot of times at this hotel because of my job. The hotel is quite far away from zurich city center but with the public transportation (by foot 3 min to s-bahn train then 5 min trip, with tram about 20 min). The hotel is renovated, rooms very nice (all non smoking) with flat tv and air conditioning. The reastaurant is not so bad but quite expensive. The parking costs about 15 swiss francs each day. From the airport you is a 5 minutes trip with the tram but the hotel has a shuttle service. Breakfast is good but not spectacular. In the main hall is free wifi available. Room Price is very good!
