Arrived here on 31st jan greeted at the front desk by a charming friendly lady and this set the tone for the rest of our stay, friendly, very efficient service, everything done with a smile, the corner suite was perfect fantastic views up, down and across the river 423 is the one to ask for, at 950 Swiss francs a night it ain't cheap but very nice. Watched the NY fireworks from the Storchen suite on the top floor which has a terrace facing the river After four days we are leaving here very happy with our stay at this excellent hotel.

What can I say! This perfectly located, boutique hotel, maintains a wonderful homely feeling which together with the ever friendly and genuine service, makes for a perfect stay.

There should be more hotels like this! It has never lost it's touch and remains, a treasure!
I can not wait to return and will definitely find another business reason to go back soon.

On business I normally, find it difficult to sleep away from home, but I found the cosiness so comfortable that I wanted to continue my stay.

This is a lovely hotel with traditional atmosphere. The location is both central and charming, right on the river and in between the main shopping district and the old town. Both within a few hundred meters.
Breakfast was included, as was WiFi. Breakfast held very high quality. For a hotel at this price level you expect the best, and with that in mind this is why I cannot give highest rating throughout:
- Service was very efficient, and in no way unfriendly, but could have been a bit more friendly
- Rooms are very nice, an sleeping comfort excellent. But the room size is standard, and the standard average compared with 5 star hotels internationally
- The hotel is less suited for the business traveler due to the smaller size and lack of common areas suitable to take a phone call, sit down and do e-mail, or have a business discussion

If you want a getaway with your significant other and can spend the money this is an excellent choice.

I stayed on 8th November for 4 nights at this high quality hotel, perfectly located right in the middle of downtown Zuerich, close to business centre, shopping, sightseeing etc. Swiss myself and living abroad, I value high end swiss quality when visiting Switzerland. The hotel is run perfectly, offers the positive side of "Swissness", the service is 5star value. My special thanks to the Austrian Head Service lady in the lobby lounge - incredibly charming and professional! I will choose my next stay at Hotel Storchen particularly because of her "Gastfreundschaft" and professionalism. I had a long rund of meetings during my stay and she was offering impecable service with austrian charme.
The room (single, top floor no 510) is recommended. Classic decor, spotless, extremely friendly housekeeping service on the 5th floor. Rare to find. The restaurant dinner and breakfast was very good, the service attentive and very polite. The concierge service impeccable, reception ok. Pricing -you get what you pay for. No hotel in Zuerich can beat loaction and value for money.
This will become my home away from home from now on.
