In my view this hotel barely deserves two stars but they advertize themselves as a four star hotel. Every detail of the hotel was done with the aim of saving money, the beds, the room, the bathroom, etc. all of them are of a spartan nature, small rooms and small bathrooms but big rates. I will never ever go back to this hotel.

This is a rather small hotel on the outskirts of the city of zurich. As a result the rates are not as high as the city and several trams run directly into the city from just around the corner. The area where the hotel is situated has some nice restaurants, lots of bars and a very nice train viaduct that has been converted into shops, grocery store and a lovely restaurant with excellent fressh food, pastry and more. The rooms are small, clean and compact. The only issue is the noise from the street from 11-2 or 3 in the morning, from the bars. The lobby is crowded and as a result seems a bit inefficient. Long waits to turn in your key, since it is cumbersome to carry, and another long wait to retrieve the key. The way that it is set up does not lend itself to efficiency and can be frustrating. There is a small restaurant and bar attached to the hotel. The tram ride into town is less than 15 minutes and depending on the one you take, you can get off at different locations.The hotel was suitable and the location was safe and easy to go in and out of town. If the weather had been warmer, we may have even walked into Zurich center.
Breakfast was buffet style and pretty good...yogurt, some type of egg, breads and cheeses, cereals coffee.
The hotel is not the Waldorf but when we travel we are out of the hotel most of the time. As long as it is clean and safe, I am pretty easy to please.

We've decided this trip to Zurich at the last moment so our options for a decent hotel and cheap air tickets were limited... We've found this hotel from a local travel agency in Athens. The price was 175 Euros for a triple room which i think is not so cheap. The hotel is not at the centre of Zurich but at least 15 minutes by tram from the centre. We've reached the hotel from Zurich airport by train and then a 10 minute walk carrying the luggages.Taxis are extremely expensive (50 euros). The first surprise when we've entered the room was that the third bed was made for kids and not for adults, we called the reception but the answer was that there were no available rooms left!!!. So one of us had to lie down and sleep in a very very short bed.... The other thing is that the room was not made for 3 beds not even for a double one .... Thank god Zurich was quite interesting and these 3 days we wouldn't have to stay for long in this tiny TRIPLE room. On the other hand the hotel was very clean but a little bit noisy at night because of the bar right next to the hotel which i think was popular, specialy for rooms looking at the main street. Soundproof????? POOR. Well some might say i'm weird, but i can assure you that next time I'll choose a better hotel closer to the city centre and the lake....

agree with all the comments prior this one which say 4 stars is over-rating this hotel - well over-rating.
I have stayed here several times on business and not by choice but being booked through business partners in Zurich. Generally I try not to stay here as the front desk don't seem to know that what makes the ultimate difference is helpful, polite attitudes, and they just don't seem to know how to do that. It's as if one is being a pain by asking for anything, or to have a request fulfilled!
the rooms are small and basic as are the bathrooms, all of this is not redeemed by the colourful shower experience, - the only saving grace would be the not bad breakfast and the one person working in the bar and resturant who seems to contravene the general don't ask for anything rule by being a sweetheart.
