The hotel room is good and decent. Its not too small and has enough space. The bed is really comfortable, very neat and tidy.
The hotel is a small distance from train station and takes few minutes to walk from station uphill. There are many options for dinner nearby.
Breakfast served in hotel is good.

My wife and I stayed there for 9 nights. We had a great room on the 7th floor at the back of the hotel. This meant that it was quiet with a decent view of the city. The weird thing was that the elevator only goes to the 6th floor and then you have to take one flight of stairs. Contrary to other reviews our air conditioning was working lock, stock and barrel. I set it to about 12 degrees so it was sure to remain on full time. It was wonderful to walk into the 'refrigerated' air after a day in the sunshine at 27 degrees. The room was small - we had two single beds. They were more like cots really - but OMG *so* comfortable! I really can say that I had extremely good sleeps with the cold air and comfortable beds; pillows were soft too.

The breakfast (included) was just 'okay'. They had some weird stuff there (fish heads?) but I guess they are catering to many different nationalities. Coming from Canada - we stuck to the soft boiled eggs, toast and PB&J. The coffee (as all European coffee) was fantastic. OJ and champagne if you like too. I appreciated the non-smoking eating area. After a few days - we figured out that while you are at breakfast (they always asked for your room number) the maid would quickly go and change your towels. The kitchen staff did not speak much English.

The check in staff were really first rate. I had some business papers to print off at around midnight and was having problems with the computer. The nightclerk let me print direct from my USB stick through the hotel computer to the printer. I really appreciated his help.

The only bad experience we had was the bill when we checked out. 249CHF per night for a room about 3m x 4m seems a bit overpriced. However - all the hotels are overpriced in Zurich. The Glockenhof wanted 340CHF for two people. It is strange that they charge 60 to 100 CHF extra per night for another person to stay. Why? Sure - go ahead and charge 15-20 for breakfast - but is the extra towel really worth that amount?

In summary - I would stay there again - but only on business. The hotel - the city - heck - the country is too expensive for an extended stay for pleasure on my budget.

This hotel in the older part of Zurich is convenient to reach - 15 minutes walk from the station ( uphill and not advisable with bags) and 2 tram stops away. The tram stop is right in front of the hotel as is the Leonardo hotel with the crazy cow restaurant.
The rooms are small, there is an elevator and small but clean bathrooms ( Don't accept the rooms at the basement level though)
Breakfast is basic but planitful and the staff are quite helpful.
All in all a basic hotel but good for the price ( less than Chf 100 per night)

Positives - hotel was typically Swiss clean, breakfast was reasonable.
negatives - room was small, paid for a queen, got a full (I was told they were the same when I complained), was supposed to be close to airport (50 franc cab ride away), no air conditioning - the room was sweltering hot despite that the outside.

summary - not a good value for money.
