all the staff were amongst the best encountered in any hotel around the world. They were very sophisticated and gracious. The breakfast for platinum SPG guests was a treat and one of the best buffets experienced around the world. The lovely lady overseeing breakfast was attentive and kind. The room was spacious, high tech and the bed very comfortable. The hotel is close to the lake and in a quiet area but still close to attractions.

This was my third stay at this hotel and for sure not the last one. The location is great and within walking distance to first of all my working place and second to many nice attractions in Zürich.
As a platinum guest I did get a very nice room upgrade. Breakfast was included and I very much like their buffet. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
If there is a small complain the it is the elevator, there is only one and its a very small one, so we sometimes had to wait for a few minutes to get moved.

I will be back for sure

I have stayed at this Sheraton in the past and it is pretty consistent in terms of service and rooms. The best thing about the hotel is the location. The rooms are noing special, the whole hotel is functional but not special. Service is average but nothing to rave about. Pricey for what it is but i guess you are paying for e location.

Having just returned from my second stay at the Sheraton Neues Schloss I have felt compelled to write a review. I stayed for two nights this time and received a telephone call from reception at 18:40 asking me to turn my TV down as the guest next door could hear every word. I duly obliged and the sound level was just about audible from my bed. 20 minutes later at 19:00 I received yet another call from reception asking me to turn my TV down, when I explained that it was as low as possible to just about hear it, I found that reception had shut off my in-room movie's in a stupid attempt to dissuade me from using the TV altogether. This happened again the following nigh and after the first call from reception they unplugged my IPTV feed so I couldn't even watch BBC World! What they didn't realise was that I am a broadcast media expert by profession and knew exactly what they had done...tut tut.

Aside from this, their TV bundle is very poor (Only news channels in English, much bigger selection if you happen to be Japanese, Russian, Italian, German or French) they do not have 'Sweet sleeper beds' as does every other Sheraton in the known world (one reason why I stay so loyal to SPG) and the hotel is very overpriced for what is offered. They are also reluctant to upgrade SPG gold members even when they were obviously less than half full.

Upside is location, near the lake and 5 minutes walk from the main shopping street and their breakfast is reasonable with very good service. I say reasonable as their chef, like many in this hotel category, does not know how to make decent scrambled eggs, chooses to use water rather than milk and cooks the bacon to within an inch of it's life, which means that it's texture is akin to vulcanised rubber.

Basically, could do MUCH better!
