Beautifull hotel near all the sights, restaurants and the fabulous train depot. Was there to enjoy the Christmas Markets and the one in here was great. Lots of shops and restaurants all idoors. Walking street full of wonderful shops just down the street. Love the "lift" but don't expect to get your wholen family in one trip. Only had breakfast in the restaurant and not as many choices as I would have liked. Evening Cocktails come with a little taster the smoked salmon was excellent. You need to bring your own clock as there is not one in the room. I thought Switzerland was known for clock making?

Had booked for an overnight stay during recent visit to Zurich.Easily walkable from the train station.
Had an upgrade on arrival. Very pleasant and friendly reception staff. Had accomodated our request for a late check out as well.
The room had a character and one of the most comfortable beds that i had slept in. If i had to pick any faults - the coffee machine did not work - a good cup of coffee which is their aim with the nesspresso machine in the room would have made it a dream stay!!

I would say this hotel's location is great. Not too near the busy area of shopping but close enough. It's on the quiet side of the city and it poses no problem at all. Very near the main train station and also the tram station is just down the road. If you are tired of walking in the shopping street, take the tram, just 1 stop from the haufbanhof.

The breakfast is good and is inclusive of the rate. The staff are friendly and helpful when you need advice on where to visit. Rooms are not that big but I guess that's quite standard for european hotel. Amenities are good. Free wifi which is so important. But the only set back is it log off automatically after idling for a while without you realising it. So you need to log in again. Overall, its a great hotel.
