The rooms were very clean along with an excellent service & good food. No wifi service was available however you can be given an internet cable from the reception.

The hotel is very well located with everything you expect on a business trip. The service was good and the staff very helpful (even on my late arrival at midnight). My only negative comment is that the breakfast is a little basic and the variety could be extended.

I have stayed at Ochsen a number of times on business. The rooms are simple but very pleasant (exception for the rooms that have not been recently refurbished, which are not quite so nice). Cleanliness is excellent and linen, towels etc are of good quality. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast is of high quality. Location is excellent for lake and old town, with Zug centre within easy walking distance and bus stops nearby. For Zug, the hotel represents good value in my view.

Out of similar range hotels I stayed in the neighbourhood, this one has a clear ambience. In general, the hotel is just fine for business purpose, but the Ochsen provides few points of differentiation that make it the hotel of choice for me: location - it is just great, close to the center, old town and lake; rooms (ask for double room, not so much more expensive) - spacious, bright and clean, lots of air.The restaurant is nicely decorated and has excellent service. Overall, the hotel looks very calm and peaceful: you rarely see anyone in the lift, on the stairs, in the restaurant, do not hear any sounds except the bells of the clock on the old town tower. But whenever you need to feel alive, just go down to the bar - you will be impressed how busy this place is.
