I visited Montreux during my trip to Lausanne. Hotel Tralala is ocated near Rue du Temple. It's good location for quick two days trip. Breakfast it not fabulous but quite good. I can evaluate sleep conditions as very good because beds are comfortable. I can recommend this hotel for short time staying in Montreux.

Checked into the Tralala on a cold wet dark January night after a good hike up hill from the train station...we received a warm friendly welcome and answers to all our questions...a welcoming drink was provided and gratefully accepted after our journey from Basel. Lovely and warm, cozy combination of old and new....extra bonus was our delightful room on the 4th floor with views of Lake Geneva and the quaint roof tops on the hill side...plenty of space, great bathroom, fireplace, comfortable beds, including rollaway, three sharing not always easy!
Breakfast also included and plentiful....late booking, found on line, but phoned directly from within Switzerland.
Highly recommend this hotel and a visit to Montreux, don't miss Chateaux Chillon...

While the hotel is a bit funky, it is in a great location, has AMAZING customer service, a wonderful breakfast and is right in the heart of Montreaux. We enjoyed our stay here very much and appreciated the help of the girl at the front desk who spoke great English and gave us numerous recommendations.

When we first arrived in Montreaux, we took bus 206 outside the train station to the hotel with our two 18 kgs luggage. A quick bus drive of about 8 mins. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and helpful. We appreciate having a welcome drink offered as we did not get that often from other hotels during our stay in Europe. Definitely a plus point.

We got room 211 which was spacious and romantic for our honeymoon. Some might find the room a little dim but we were find with the cosy lighting.

The toilet is modern, clean with toiletries provided (shampoo, shower gel, body lotion, shower cap and facial tissue paper).

Breakfast has a good spread. WIFI is available on complimentary basis.

We walked back to the hotel every night after dinner. Despite the steep uphill slope, we actually enjoyed the stroll and took the walk slowly.

On our departure day, we walked down the slope to the train station as our train booking was at 6.30am and bus 206 had not operated yet. About 15 - 20 mins down but again, we enjoyed the walk.
