Check-in was efficiently handled by duty staff who can speak very good English. Room though a bit small was fully equipped with all necessary facilities layout efficient. Location was ideal with shopping just outside the hotel, and Metro round the corner, and a restaurant as its neighbour. With the free transport card, travelling around is easy. Free Internet and breakfast included in tariffs.

Small but clean hotel with a friendly staff and a good location. Its near the center of the city, and close to the metro as well. There is no AC, so be careful in the summertime when it can get quite hot.

This hotel is tucked away in a pedestrianised shopping street in Lausanne old town. I got a room rate (incl Breakfast) of 140CHF per night for a double room for single person use. Although not massive - it was reasonably spacious by Swiss standards and pretty well furnished, though with a smallish ensuite bathroom. Only a short (uphill) walk to the cathedral and the main shopping streets. If arriving by train be aware that although the station-to-hotel distance looks walkable on a map, it is all uphill and can be daunting if lugging a suitcase. Plus points were free wifi internet access and a public transport pass giving unlimited access to the underground system. Since there was a metro stop close by, getting to the more picturesque lakeside areas such as Ouchy was reasonably easy. Only real grumble was a pretty bland continental breakfast. Definitely recommended if you're doing Lausanne on a budget.

Friendly, helpful owners and staff (who speak english), very clean with a good breakfast included in price. They pay for part of parking in nearby lot (about 5-10 min walk) and you can drive into pedestrian zone to drop off luggage. WIFI in rooms.

Location was good, in the middle of old town area and near metro that took you to the Lake, but the area is a little seedy (grafitti, etc.). There was a nice market on Saturday morning in walking distance. We think if we went again, we wound stay near the Lake and traveled up to old town for restaurants.
