“Best charming place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

I´ve been four times in Bella Vista and I strongly recommend it, if you look a small and personalized place, charming, with the best swiss service.
It has a great spa, excellent breakfast, new rooms, and familiar place.
Once we didn´t have coats enough , and they get one for us.
The familiy is very customer oriented, and you can fell at home.

“Top of Switzerland”

This is one of the best hotel experience we had in Switzerland. Not only the spectacular view to the Matterhorn, but hotel it self, it is very well organised, charming, beautiful, and wellcoming.
You feel at home, like you would allready have lived there. It cosy but not overloaded at all. It is warm but not stuffing. The SPA is excellent.
The fact of having to walk 5-10 minutes to the center is even better. You have a better view and you profit of walking in this charmful village of Zermatt.

“Lovely 2nd stay in Bellavista Zermatt”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

We recently returned from our 2nd stay in Hotel Bellavista in Zermatt. Strongly recommend it! Very nice, family-run hotel with great location (you can ski in) and fantastic views of the Matterhorn, very good food & breakfast and a newly-renovated, excellent spa area. Owners are friendly and service-oriented, and will make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible.

We have already booked for next year!

Room Tip: Choose a room on the south or west side for best views and privacy

“Home from Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

Having visited the Bella Vista I don,t know how many times since 1988, I can safely say, it is the most friendly, safe and comfortable hotel I have ever stayed in. On top of that, the Goetzenberger Family are as obliging, and happy to help guests as possible. I shall continue to stay with them for as long as possible in My Home from Home.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Matterhorn

“Ski Vacation with Bella Vista!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

We just wrapped up a memorable trip to Europe, which included 4 nights with the Bella Vista and Family Goetzenberger. We managed to be in Zermatt during a major snow storm which forced the closure of the Matterhorn bahn. As a result, we were lucky enough to stay at Bella Vista for an additional night. While the hotel was fully booked on the last night, the family afforded us the last night at a very reasonable rate in one of the rooms at their Chalet. During the first 3 nights of our stay, we were in Room 2 of the hotel, which offered great views of the town and Matterhorn when the snow wasn't flying. The room was very clean and well laid out, though I would recommend asking for an extra blanket if you are used to softer beds. The breakfasts were very nice with local products and a cool juice machine which allowed for squeezing fresh orange juice. When the runs to the resort are open (which they were during our visit), the location of Bella Vista offers ski in directly to the hotel and the Sunnega lift is about a 5 minute walk. Or, you can ski for 10-15 minutes around the long way to the lift.

Overall, we were very pleased with the hospitality of the Family and the enjoyment we got from Zermatt by staying at Bella Vista. And most importantly, accomodating our extra night due to the storm.

If you're headed skiing to Zermatt the rest of the Winter, it should be incredible as long as the wind stays down.

Room Tip: Room 2 is quiet and offers great views of the Matterhorn and town. If you have a family or friends o...
