5 nights a hotel then zermatt was blocked off due to avalanche managed to get out in time fr flights hotel staff extremely helpful and we were not required to check out until travel sorted. Totally renovated beautiful standard room. Although on main street not at all noisy superb glazing and little balcony. Very close to gornograt rail and therefore all slopes and beside lots bars & restaurants. No bath but shower room was 5 star totally new and beautifully fitted and large. Buffet breakfast was adequate and could have had better / more meats. Overall would definitely use this hotel again due standard of room and location tip - Ski hire from Bayern shop next to Co-op and gornograt meant that we could leave skis and boots in shop every evening meaning NO walking at all with skis and boots.

Just spent 3 nights in this lovely small, recently renovated hotel. The welcome was warm, and the room really peaceful. The bedding is very confortable and the coffee making machine in the room a nice extra.
The breakfast was nice though the service a little unusual. It felt as though the woman looking after the buffet was putting things out drop by drop. Letting the bread baskets get to empty, and the cheese skin left lonely on the board until we asked for more, and then we felt as if we were disturbing. Pity as everybody else in the hotel was great!

Recently re-furbished (modern "discreet" decor) hotel near to the Train Station and the Heart of Zermatt. Very comfortable, with very welcoming and obliging staff (they couldn't do enough for you, from giving "useful" information to satisfying requests). My wife's only complaint was: there was no MIRROR for making-up (perhaps a mini-cam could be hooked up to the TV?).

We stayed here with our two teenagers during the week after Christmas. Our room was nothing special, just big enough and worn around the edges a bit. But it had a balcony and with the ski room in the basement, plenty of space. Beds were quality and we slept well. Night noise was sometimes an issue. Front desk staff and the manager were very helpful and friendly. We were skiing every day and the location was good, although we had to walk 200 - 800 yards depending on which lift we were heading to. Breakfast buffet was really good and plentiful! Location was overall very good. Had we planned ahead we likely could have had bette rvalue renting an apartment for the week, but we made a spur of the moment decision to go to Zermatt and were lucky to find a room.
