Recently re-furbished (modern "discreet" decor) hotel near to the Train Station and the Heart of Zermatt. Very comfortable, with very welcoming and obliging staff (they couldn't do enough for you, from giving "useful" information to satisfying requests). My wife's only complaint was: there was no MIRROR for making-up (perhaps a mini-cam could be hooked up to the TV?).

We stayed here with our two teenagers during the week after Christmas. Our room was nothing special, just big enough and worn around the edges a bit. But it had a balcony and with the ski room in the basement, plenty of space. Beds were quality and we slept well. Night noise was sometimes an issue. Front desk staff and the manager were very helpful and friendly. We were skiing every day and the location was good, although we had to walk 200 - 800 yards depending on which lift we were heading to. Breakfast buffet was really good and plentiful! Location was overall very good. Had we planned ahead we likely could have had bette rvalue renting an apartment for the week, but we made a spur of the moment decision to go to Zermatt and were lucky to find a room.

We had a short but lovely stay at Testa Grigia in October. We didnt have much idea about Zermatt, so went ahead with this hotel based on a friend's reference.
The owner was prompt to reply to my mail for availability, & suggested that we dont go for the cheapest room ('economy'), as it had a common bathroom on the floor. He also assured us that we'll get a much better option for additional 20 euro approx, with "Matterhorn View".
And we were so glad that we agreed! ....
We had a common balcony, with mountains all around... and an unintertupted view the BEAUTIFUL peak of Matterhorn...

That apart, the hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the station, which is a nice deal in vehicle-free Zermatt.....
Spacious wooden room, nice breakfast with fresh juices & ever- smiling owners.
totally worth the price....will definitely go back!

The staff was kind and hard working. Breakfast was simple and very good. The room was very large by any standards with a great view of the Matterhorn.
