This was our 2nd time staying at Coeur Des Alpes- and absolutely not our last. This time we brought my parents on their 1st trip to Europe and of course brought them to Zermatt to fulfill their lifelong dream to see the Matterhorn. I have to share this experience as I am a manager in the tourism industry and find the service my family received to be absolutely outstanding! (p.s.Coeur does not know I work in tourism, they would give this service to anyone) You all know from reading other reviews the food is excellent, location, rooms, and spa are excellent , but after reading my story hopefully now you will learn something new about this wonderful hotel.
While leaving Coeur to catch our train to Italy we left our camera on the table of the lobby. We called the hotel from Italy that afternoon and they had indeed found our camera and offered to ship it express to our hotel in Italy. We didn't realize at the time... Express going from a non EU country to an EU country actually would take about 3 weeks. By then we had arrived home in the States, and our hotel in Italy had refused the delivery sending it back to Switzerland to Coeur. Little did we know this next trip would take our camera 4 months to get back to Switzerland. We emailed and called Coeur almost daily to check to see if our camera had made it back. We of course lost hope and bought a new camera. About a week ago we received word the camera made it back to the hotel and today it arrived in the states to us.
In todays day and age I find it incomprehensible that for 5 months Coeur des Alpes delivered amazing customer service to us and saw to it to always return our emails and phone calls in a timely manner. They even included a little personal note to us with our camera that amongst other things said they can't wait to see us again.
