Must emulate the Scotland Bilbo comments. Plus points first, clean good sized rooms. Well placed for skibus. Thats it!!!
Negative points. Dinner served at 7.00. They will telephone your room if you are'nt there on the dot. Very poor quality food served very quickly. One night it was the Findus type chicken escalope with frozen peas & frozen french fries. One joke from some Irish residents was, "why does the chef arrive at 9.00," the answer was "to open the tins & frozen food packets" They ate out on 3 ocassions!!!!!!.
Once you have finished a particular course the plate is whipped away even when others are still eating. Its all over in less than an hour, so if you want to deliberate over a meal you have had it. Wine poor choice and expensive for a 2* hotel. The bar opens at 6.30 with again expensive poor choice bottled beer. No amibiance around the bar as the seating is poorly placed. No after dinner socialising as there is nowhere to go in the hotel for a game of cards etc. The customer focus is totally, totally, non-existant.
Breakfast is the same ham & cheese every day, three cereal choices only.
If you want to enjoy your holiday go elsewhere. Remember you will be paying for a meal out, as dinner is for only 6 nights, & that will set you back £20-£30
Hotel noise emulates from all the floors especially with late revellers & when people are checking out during early morning departures.
One of the worst hotels for food & customer focus I have ever stayed at. Dont do it!!!
Zermatt is fantastic, but go to another hotel if you want to make your holiday complete.
