I come here with my walking groups each year and love it. The breakfast is delicious, rooms cosy and manager very helpful. The location is also brilliant and it is the best value in Zermatt. I'll be back next year.

I stayed at the Hotel Tannenhof for one night in early May. I paid $110 Swiss Franc for a room with two twin beds and private bathroom. This came with a free continental breakfast. We were able to store our luggage at the hotel after we checked-out. I thought this was excellent value for Zermatt.

The room was clean and comfortable. The man at the front desk was particularly nice and spoke good English. He made excellent recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. The hotel is located in the centre of town and is quite easy to find.

This must be the best value in Zermatt. I needed a room at the last minute and it was 1/3 the cost of anything else. Location is perfect in the center of town, right behind the bars and there is a 5 star hotel on either side The owner was nice, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Of course it is a budget option. The room is small and without frills but the bedding was comfortable and view outside beautiful. It's a shared toilet and shower, but clean, and much more pleasant than I expected. A sink was in the room and toilet right next door, so only the shower felt shared. It's a great option if you are on a budget or don't need frills.

We stayed here in January for a few nights before going on the Glacier Express. The rooms were small and quite old, however, excellent value for money in this area. Staff were friendly and the rooms were very clean and its not far from the station. Breakfast is very good.
