We've been to a few ski resorts in Europe but Theresia and her Hotel Parnass made our week in Zermatt very special. Since the reservation back in June/2010 she has been very helpful, even warning us that the small room we planned to rent could be too small for two people, so that we wouldn't be disapointed. The city is wonderful and plenty of things to do. The skiing is excellent.

Coming to stay at Theresia's(that is the owner's name)is like going back home.The asome view of the Matterhorn and the Vispa River is simply beautiful.The hotel is great value for the money.The food is good and varied.I always recommend this hotel friendly and homy.I have been coming to Zermatt for 50 years so I do Know.I have come to stay in winter and in the summer.The little field in front of the hotel is great to relax after a long day of serious walking.Everyone in the team tries their very best to make you feel at welcome.Do try!!!!

I really enjoyed my stay here and it was a very nice way to round off my trip to Zermatt.

The hotel was friendly, clean, well-organised and good value. It is also very conveniently located in the heart of Zermatt just a short walk from all the attractions.

My room had a wonderful view of the Matterhorn and it was lovely to sit there and watch the sky slowly darkening around the mountain. You could even see the lights of the various mountain huts from time to time. If it concerns you, you do need to check exactly what type of room you are getting because it cost about 20 Swiss francs extra for the Matterhorn view, and some rooms have the W/C in a separate room. The W/C is still only available to you (and is in a room which can only be opened with your room key) but it is in a separate room just outside you room door. This might bother some people, but it didn't bother me at all.

Breakfast was delicious. There was a small electric car which took us and our bags to the train station which I think cost 5 or 10 Swiss francs.

Zermatt is a wonderful place and there are some great things to do there, most notably the Kleine Matterhorn cable car which takes you up to the highest easily accessible point in Europe at 12,800 feet.

Great hotel right downtown Zermatt. Views of the Matterhorn (not just a little view, I mean the whole mountain) from front side. Took some excellent full moon shots of the Matterhorn right from the balcony. Breakfast was very good as well. Great location, 5 minutes walk from train station. Easy to get to the mountain trams/railways. Thersia is a great owner, always checking if everything is OK, quick to offer tips and ideas in town. Would definitely stay here again.
