We stayed in the Simi over New Years 2011 and had a fab time they come pick you up from the station even if its before your check in time! check in was swift and our room was large with a side view of all other pretty surrounding chalet'smordern with hairdryer and toiletries our bathroom had bath with power shower and double basin quite ! Breakfast was plentiful with breads cakes various jams honey etc ...fruit all the cheese's and ham's also you could order the cooked option if you wanted which we only did one day as the cereals and museli all good and on New Years day they served breakfast right up till 12 which was normally 10.30! Wifi was in Reception only, the ski room by the front door was spaious with boot warmers and a large bench! The bar loungeand reception areas seems to be the only part of the Hotel that's had an update and very stylist too! and last but by no means least the lovely Portuguese girl who runs the bar is a great assett to the hotel along the guy who plays the piano who tries really hard! Finally the location is fab just off the high street close to all bars and restaurants 5 mins walk to station and Gronergrat Mountain railway the Sunnegg is a good 15 - 20 mins walk away! one on the best restaurants if you love swiss food and good steak is on your doorstep its called (Swiss Chalet) next door to hotel. So don't be fooled by the old negative reviews of this hotel its a great four star if you want 5 star for four star money this is not the place Zermatt is Expensive and you get what you pay for!!
