Hotel Matterhorn Focus is quite possibly one of the best hotel experiences I have had out of the hundreds of hotels in which I have stayed. From the time of the reception to the complimentary ride back to the train station, I didn't once regret paying a premium for this place. Waking up to views of the Matterhorn after a night of swimming indoors and outdoors in the snow in the heated pool was a surreal experience. Unfortunately, the fog was a little too heavy the day we intended to ski the alps, but this just gives us more reason to come back. I would recommend this hotel without question to everyone who ever plans to visit Zermatt!

We had a wonderful time in this hotel in January. Beautiful ambient, uncredible interior, and relaxing atmosphere, made our winter holiday amaizing I was with my husband and 2 daughters and we all enjoy skiing. The staff was frendly and very polite.We recomend this hotel anyone who likes to travel.

Away from the stale rooms of ‘grand’ establishments, the pretentiousness of other boutique hotels, and the noise of busy bars often within hotels, the Focus is by far Zermatt's best kept secret. A unique place to find relaxed, discreet luxury within a very modern yet cosy building. Its friendly and polite service makes you feel welcomed instantly, and their attention to detail is delivered hassle-free. Don’t go if your idea of luxury is bell boys in formal uniform, damask clad rooms, or a bar to see and be seen. This is home from home, in a casual but exquisite way. The hotel is conveniently situated by the gondola and close to a top ski rental shop, where you can practically ski to. The buzz of the town centre is a 10-minute walk away, along the beautiful river. Hopefully, the Focus will not be ruined in time by its increasing popularity and recognition for being just very special.

We stayed in Zermatt Nov 19-24, 2011 & loved every minute of our stay at the Matterhorn Focus. We had a late train into Zermatt, called ahead & the hotel sent a taxi to pick us up after hours. This was the beginning of the stellar service we received throughout our entire stay. Upon arrival, we were welcomed and shown to our suite which had been upgraded for our honeymoon. The breakfast buffet that welcomed us the next morning, and every morning, was absolutely delicious and the service - impeccable. The hotel's location is perfect - up from the busy town square but right next to the ski lift. I was nervous this would be loud but we never heard a peep. The pool and spa were so welcoming at the end of the day and the amenities in the room - fireplace, etc were perfect. The staff at the hotel was beyond wonderful. They were the perfect balance of making sure we were always taken care of but also giving us our space. We cannot recommend the Matterhorn Focus enough.
